With the end of the Thanksgiving weekend also came the end to numerous auctions held for parts of the late DJ AM’s renowned sneaker collection. However, today there is more DJ AM sneaker news. Here are some of the first shots of a collaborative effort between Nike and the acclaimed DJ, which resulted in at LEAST this one pair of the Nike Dunk high in a red/black/grey colorway. The upper consists of black patent leather with red and grey accents, while the shoe sits atop a completely white sole. On the tongue you can spot the famous DJ’s performance name, which is sure to touch many hearts. What do you think about at least this one result of a teaming up that many sneaker circles had caught wind of long before this point? You can search and find these today among only certain retailers. R.I.P. DJ AM

Celebrity disk-jockey DJ AM was found dead in SoHo today, sources told NBC New York. He was 36 years old.

The body of DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, was found on the seventh floor of an apartment building 215 Lafayette, law-enforcement sources said.

Goldstein, along with drummer Travis Barker, barely escaped death in a small plane crash in South Carolina on Sept. 19, 2008. That incident left him badly burned, but four others died in the accident.

The details of his demise are still unclear, but police sources said investigators are looking into the possibility of a drug overdose.

Goldstein, originally from Philadelphia, was briefly engaged to reality TV star Nicole Richie in 2005.
